Full Bio

John has been involved in music and production since an early age. He got involved with sound engineering after the tales his father used to tell him as a child. He went on to study Creative Music and Sound Technology at Leeds Metropolitan University where he made a home and setup a small PA company for a few years before the attraction of working abroad grew too strong

In 2007 he moved to the Dominican Republic where he worked as a sound and light technicianBefore having to return home to care for his terminally ill father.

Although it was a sad time, it gave him the oppotunity to work on his own music and begin performing. His father bought him his first guitar as he realised a piano wasn't the most practical gigging instrument and got his first professional performing opportunity in Turkey while working as a Sound Techichnician, playing acoustic caberets.

John's father passed away and whilst being massively depressed he threw himself full time into music and began a residency at Filthy's London for nearly 2 years before moving on to work on a broader spectrum and rebuilding his life in Walthamstow, and bringing his Father's old studio back to life as a monument to his memory.

After tiring of playing the same old songs with just his guitar. John began to experiment with the use of vocal effects, and adding harmonies to voice mid song. He was hooked immiediately and inspired by mashup DJs, he built up a collection of looping and drum pedals to create a live accompanyment to his covers.
